Board of Directors

LiveHive's Board of Directors plays an active role in the direction and strategy of the company. 

Tim Jackson, a veteran in the hi-tech industry, is Chairman of LiveHive Systems' board.  A seasoned investor, he is committed to building world-class companies.  As CFO of PixStream Inc., Tim negotiated the $550 million sale of the company to Cisco Systems and has orchestrated financial transactions, Initial Public Offerings and corporate acquisitions in many diverse industries.  As a Partner with Tech Capital, a leading venture capital firm in Waterloo, Ontario, Tim's strategic vision and passionate leadership have been the driving force behind its continued success.

Tim is a popular speaker in both business and academic circles and in addition to LiveHive, serves as director on numerous corporate boards including Sandvine Inc., VideoLocus Inc., DiskStream Inc. and FibreTech Telecommunications Inc.  Tim also sits on the Board of Governors for the University of Waterloo, is a director of the Communitech Technology Association, chairs the Waterloo Public Library Board and is President of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.

Tim has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Accountant.

Dave Bullock, LiveHive System's Co-founder and President, is a member of the LiveHive Board of Directors and Chair of the Advisory Board.  Dave has extensive experience in building businesses from conception to commercialization.  Prior to LiveHive, Dave built the Emerging Technologies business division within IMS, a Waterloo-based mechatronics and software firm. 

Dave has both an undergraduate and masters degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Guelph.

Dave Caputo, President and CEO of Sandvine Inc. (AIM:SAND; TSX:SVC) and highly respected member of the Canadian tech community is a member of LiveHive's board.  Dave co-founded Sandvine in  2001, leading the company through two successful public offerings and sits on the Board of Directors for both Sandvine and Q9 Networks (TSX: Q).  Prior to co-founding Sandvine, Dave was the Vice President of Marketing for PixStream, one of Canada's most successful technology companies, purchased by Cisco in 2000 for more than $500 million. 

Dave holds an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Computer Science degree from York University and is a graduate of Wharton executive education programs.

Jacqueline Murphy, is a member of LiveHive's board and Vice President of Tech Capital, a leading venture capital firm in Waterloo, Ontario.  Jacqueline has more than a decade of operational and investment experience, as well as an extensive background in marketing and communications.  Prior to joining Tech Capital, Jacqueline was Director of Marketing for PixStream Inc., where she was responsible for managing an innovative marketing team and developing domestic and international markets.

Jacqueline has an honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and has completed the Entrepreneurship Development Program at MIT.

Robert Riopelle, LiveHive's Vice President of Business Development and a Co-founder is a member of the board.  Robert is an expert on interactive entertainment and a much sought after speaker at industry events, including NAB, the Fantasy Sports Trade Conference and the TV of Tomorrow Show.  Prior to LiveHive, Robert worked as a Business Development Manager with a Waterloo-based consumer electronics firm, managing channel development and marketing initiatives for the international product launch of a mobile media product line.

Robert  holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University.

Board of Advisors

LiveHive's Board of Advisors assists the management team by offering strategic advice, as well as assisting in executive networking, public relations and media exposure.

Rick Weil, a consultant in the interactive marketplace, is a member of LiveHive's Advisory Board. Rick was formerly President of FUN Technologies Inc. (TSX/AIM: FUN), a market leader in two of the fastest-growing sectors of interactive online gaming -- fantasy sport services and skill gaming.  Prior to joining FUN, Rick was the Corporate Vice President of International Business Development for Scientific Games Corporation.

Rick has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and has an MBA from New York University.
